Daily Itinerary

Athens – Budapest (Pest & Parliament Tour)

We’ll meet at the airport and depart for our flight to Budapest. Upon arrival, we’ll begin our first tour of Hungary’s magnificent capital, exploring its most important landmarks.

Our tour starts on the Pest side at the famous Heroes’ Square, adorned with statues of Hungary’s great kings and national leaders, where we’ll learn about the country’s rich history. We’ll then visit the grand St. Stephen’s Basilica, continue along elegant Andrássy Avenue with its stately 19th-century buildings and the beautiful Opera House, and finally admire the impressive Baroque-style Parliament, where we’ll enjoy an interior tour. Along the way, we’ll also see some of the remarkable bridges that unite Buda and Pest across the Danube.

After the tour, we’ll transfer to our hotel and check into our rooms. The rest of the day will be free for us to relax or begin discovering the city on our own. Overnight stay in Budapest.

Budapest (Buddha Tour – Covered Market & Vaci Utca)

After breakfast, we’ll set out for our guided tour of the Buda side of the city. We’ll visit the impressive Royal Castle and the National Gallery before continuing to the Fisherman’s Bastion and the beautiful Gothic Matthias Church, where Hungarian kings were once crowned. From Gellért Hill, we’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Buda and Pest, as well as the iconic Statue of Liberty.

Next, we’ll explore the city’s lively covered market, where we can browse and shop for Hungarian delicacies — the famous spicy salami, traditional drinks such as *Unicum* and *Palínka*, renowned local wines, and a variety of handcrafted goods and regional specialties.

Our tour will end at the bustling pedestrian street *Váci Utca*, famous for its elegant shops, boutiques, and department stores. The afternoon will be free for us to relax, stroll, or continue exploring Budapest at our own pace. Overnight stay in the city.

Budapest – Danube Villages Tour with Lunch

After breakfast, we’ll set off on a full-day excursion to the Danube Bend, a magical route through some of Hungary’s most historic towns and landscapes. Our first stop will be the beautiful traditional village of Saint Andrew (Szentendre), known as the “village of artists and fine arts,” where we’ll enjoy a guided walk. Here we’ll have time to browse the many shops for crystal, porcelain, and a wide variety of souvenirs.

We’ll then continue up to Visegrád, with its medieval castle — once the royal residence of King Béla IV of the Árpád dynasty — and take in the breathtaking views of the Danube Valley. Lunch will follow at the picturesque “Renaissance” restaurant on the riverbank, where we’ll relax in a charming setting by the water.

Our last stop will be Esztergom, the first capital of the Hungarian state and the spiritual center of the country’s Catholic Church. There, we’ll visit the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral, one of the largest church buildings in the world. After our tour of the interior, we’ll return to Budapest for an overnight stay.

Budapest (Walking tour of the Jewish Quarter)

After breakfast at our hotel, we’ll set off on foot for our guided tour of Budapest’s charming Jewish Quarter, accompanied by our Greek-speaking guide to uncover its rich history and living traditions. We’ll visit the Great Synagogue on Dohány Street, the largest in Europe and the second largest in the world, built between 1854 and 1859 in a distinctive Moorish style enriched with Byzantine, Renaissance, and Gothic elements. Used as a stable and communications center by the Germans during World War II, it now serves as the main hub of the local Jewish community.

Inside this impressive 53-meter-long building, which can accommodate more than 3,000 worshippers, we’ll also find the Jewish Museum and the moving Holocaust Memorial within the same complex. The afternoon will be free for us to continue exploring the city or relax as we wish. In the evening, we recommend a night cruise on the Danube to admire the illuminated bridges and monuments of Budapest from the water. Overnight stay in the city.

 Budapest – Vienna – Athens

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Vienna. On arrival, we’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city’s most important sights, following the famous Ringstrasse to see the Opera House, the Natural History and Fine Arts Museums, Parliament, City Hall, the University, the Hofburg Palace, and the impressive St. Stephen’s Cathedral. We’ll then visit the exterior of the splendid Schönbrunn Palace and have some free time to explore. At the scheduled hour, we’ll transfer to the airport for our return flight, concluding our journey.
