Daily Itinerary
We’ll meet at the airport and take our flight to Warsaw. Upon arrival, we’ll set off for Krakow, with a stop along the way in Czestochowa to visit the Jasna Gora Monastery, home to the revered chapel and its miraculous icon of the Black Madonna. After our short visit, we’ll continue our journey to Krakow, where we’ll arrive and check in at our hotel. Overnight stay in Krakow.
After breakfast, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Krakow, discovering the city’s rich history and timeless beauty. We’ll visit the impressive Royal Castle on Wawel Hill and the magnificent Cathedral beside it, then continue to the historic Jagiellonian University — one of the oldest universities in Europe. In the heart of the city lies the vast medieval main square, where we’ll admire the Mariacki Church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. At the center of the square stands the Renaissance Sukiennice building, once a bustling textile market and now home to Krakow’s largest souvenir hall and a remarkable gallery of Polish paintings.
Later, we’ll head to the area of Wieliczka to visit its world-famous salt mines, a true wonder of craftsmanship and history. The labyrinth of underground galleries, with chapels carved entirely from salt, shimmering lakes, and intricate wooden support beams, showcases the artistry of miners from centuries past. This subterranean world, both mystical and awe-inspiring, continues to attract visitors from all over the globe.
After our visit, we’ll return to the hotel for some free time and an overnight stay in Krakow.
After breakfast, we’ll depart by road for Warsaw. On our way, we’ll stop to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial and museum — one of the largest Nazi concentration camps, where over two million people lost their lives during World War II. This deeply moving site stands as a powerful reminder of history and human resilience.
In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in Warsaw and check in at our hotel. The rest of the day will be free for us to begin exploring the city. We might start with a walk through the charming Old Town Square, continue past the Royal Castle (*Zamek Królewski*), and then head toward the New Town, taking in the contrast between historic monuments and modern skyscrapers. For those who enjoy a lively atmosphere, Warsaw’s trendy districts are perfect for grabbing a craft beer and soaking up the city’s youthful vibe. With its wide cobblestone streets and northern charm, the Polish capital invites us to enjoy a pleasant evening stroll before turning in for the night.
After breakfast, we’ll set out on a guided tour of the historic city of Warsaw. Encircled by old fortifications and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Warsaw is a city admired worldwide for its meticulous restoration and preservation of monuments.
During our morning tour, we’ll see the lively Market Square and the Royal Castle (*Zamek Królewski*), a beautiful example of Baroque architecture that now serves as a museum and the seat of the Polish Parliament (*Sejm*). We’ll continue to Castle Square (*Plac Zamkowy*), one of the few areas spared from wartime destruction, and then admire the monumental Palace of Culture and Science — a towering landmark gifted by Stalin to the city.
We’ll also pass the impressive Wielki Grand Theatre, home to the national opera and ballet, and the elegant Baroque Krasinski Palace, considered one of Warsaw’s finest buildings. Our route will take us through the Royal Gardens, the area of the former Jewish Ghetto, and by the house of Marie Curie, Poland’s celebrated Nobel Prize-winning scientist. We’ll also see the statue of Frédéric Chopin, proudly standing in the gardens of the Łazienki Palace.
After returning to our hotel, we’ll have a free afternoon to enjoy Warsaw at our leisure before spending the night in the city.
After breakfast, we’ll have some free time to enjoy the last moments of our stay in Warsaw. Later, we’ll transfer to the airport for our return flight to Athens, carrying with us the wonderful memories of our journey through Poland.
